GOD’S METHOD AND WILL ABOUT CHOOSING LEADERS
Certainly, this ineffective election process which democracy boasts cannot qualify to be a method of an INTELLIGENT, WISE AND LOVING GOD!
Election is the method of today’s so-called beast, that is, human government, mentioned in the book of Revelation 13:11-18. What or who is this beast? It is the government that promotes the perverted evil 666 (v. 18)!
What is this 666? What does it mean?
It means: Perverted 666 = 600fold love for Self + 60fold love for neighbor + 6fold love for God!
In contrast, the perfect 666 = 600fold love for God + 60fold love for neighbor + 6fold love for Self!
The Lord: “All right, so I will give you a measure by which you and everyone may know how he stands concerning his self-love, the love for his neighbor and his love for God.
“Take the number 666 which in good or bad proportions shows either a perfected man or a perfected devil.
“Divide a person’s love evenly into 666 parts; of that give God 600, your neighbor 60, and yourself However, if you want to become a perfect devil, give God 6, your neighbor 60 and yourself 6
“The true servant [leader] looks after himself 6fold, after his fellow-servants 60 fold so that they may be well-disposed to him, and after his employer 600fold and thereby quite unintentionally, 666 after himself!
“For the other servants will prefer the fellow-servant in whom they find the least self-love to all others, and the employer will soon put him in-charge of all the servants.
“But at a servant who only provides for his own pocket, likes to be the last at a job and puts his hands only to the lightest work, his fellow workers will be looking askance and his employer will be quite aware that the selfish servant is a lazy laborer. Therefore, he will never put him in-charge of the others, but reduce his wages and sit him at the farthest end of the dining table. And if this selfish lazy servant will not change his attitude, he will be sacked from his service with a bad testimonial and will not easily ever get into another service…[1]
How can shortsighted man judge that correctly?
“Let man do the best he can with an honest will. Then, God will then add what is still lacking. There is no reason to fear that any man will use less than 6 parts for himself.”[2]
The perversion of the perfect 666 is the main agenda of the beast of democracy led by the U.S.A., the descendants of the former chosen people of God, Israel.
They left God, gradually.
First, they did not want to hear directly God’s voice, after they heard Him pronounced the 10 Commandments from Mt. Sinai. They asked that human representatives by appointed. Exodus 20:18-21.
So, respecting His-given freewill to man, God from then own dictated to Moses and later on His other servants the priests and the prophets, His will or teachings. And so you will find from then on “Then the Lord said to Moses” or who else from Exodus 20:22 and onward throughout the Old Testament, New Testament up to the present.
Then, secondly, the people rejected God’s more spiritual rule through His own chosen leaders like Moses and Aaron and later on, other priest like Samuel; they preferred the more secular [and thus less spiritual and more palatable to their taste, that is, the leader who would go with their lust, greed, and pride] and thus this first human government system was that of the king – monarchy - be granted. 1 Samuel 8:1-22.
It was a direct insult and rejection of God. And so God must be more hurt, more than Samuel his high priest. But God was and is more forbearing, because of His greater love, and by His wisdom He could lead back the astray.
The will or decision of the people had to be respected, so they, by the bitter fruits of their own decisions, would be taught by experience, because they would not listen to gentle Word. The bitter pills of experience (usually of disobedience) will accomplish it!
However, God and Samuel made a last attempt to discourage the people by enumerating before them the bad effects of monarchy or human government (1 Samuel 8:10-18).
The evil effects of human government would be:
(a) instead of more productive purposes, men would be drafted to the military for war (v.11-12);
(b) some men will be used to enrich the leaders economically, and find no time for the economic development of their own family or tribe (v.12);
(c) some of these men would be used to make weapons and equipment of war (v.12);
(d) many of our women would be used for government services instead of giving more of their talents for the greater good and welfare of their families and clans; our women today as far as the economic and spiritual welfare of our families are concerned, are underused; they have not achieved their high potential as originally intended by God! (v.13);
(e) the best of our lands would be seized by the government and given to their officials and assistants! (v.14). How true!
(f) taxes would be collected for the preferred benefits of government officials, and not necessarily of the people (v.15). How true!
(g) manpower and animal-power would be used by the government for their own personal purposes (v.16)!
(h) large portion of our strength taken [symbolized by the word ‘10% of the flock’], the people would be weakened to become slaves of the government – we renamed the word ‘slaves’ into ‘employees’! (v. 17).
(i) “When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king [or leader] you have chosen, and Jehovah, Eternal Father, will not answer you in that day” (v.18).
Alas! Our misfortune!
Shall we continue to follow Israel?
“But the people refused to listen to Samuel. ‘No!’ they said. ‘We want a king over us. Then we will be like all other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out and fight our battles” (v. 19).
“When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the Lord. The Lord answered, ‘Listen to them and give them a king’” (v. 20).
This was another step of spiritual degeneration!
EXPERIENCE OF THE EARLIER JAREDITES
Generations earlier than Israel, the people of Jared came to what is now America. The Jaredites were the earlier settlers of the American continent, much much earlier than the Indians who traced their ancestry to Lehi who came to America as a refugee from the tribe of Judah to escape the Babylonian captivity, some 500 years before the birth of Christ. So the Jaredites were earlier than the Lehites-Lamanites-Indians by many generations, perhaps 2,000 years earlier.
But the prophet brother of Jared knew God’s will. So, when their people asked that there be a king appointed, “this was grievous unto them. And the brother of Jared said unto them: Surely this thing leadeth into captivity.”[3]
And surely it was it. The book of Ether, in the Book of Mormon, recorded for our learning – read: warning! -- the most gruesome civil war (brother vs brother) ever recorded in the history of mankind!
The second most terrible written story on the case of gross breaking of the law “You shall love your [brother] as yourself” was the civil war between the sons of the Jewish Lehi – e.g., the Nephites versus brothers Lamanites. Read the book of Moroni in the Book of Mormon.
Third, God still retained some leadership role as long as He was the one who chose – read: anointed – the king through His servant the high priest. But this method of appointment – read: anointment – was then nullified. How? First, by the king’s gradual distancing from God, meaning: (a) King Saul did what was forbidden by God such as in 1 Samuel 13 and (b) did not do what God wanted such as God’s instruction to totally destroy the enemy and left no chance of this sinful race to spread anew (1 Samuel 15), David’s sins of adultery and murder which led to a series of catastrophic events in the kingdom (1 Samuel 11-20), and Solomon’s idolatry caused by his many wives (1 Kings 11). Secondly, by the king’s rejection of God’s last channel of His wisdom – the old counselors! This was first done by Solomon’s son, Rehoboam, who succeeded him king. Rehoboam listened to the voice of the youth – his barkadas and rejected the advice of the gray-haired (1 Kings 12).
Fourth, from the still-God-anointed Monarchy during the time of Saul, David and Solomon, the people degenerated towards DEMOCRACY – voice of the people, or more precisely, voice of the foolish younger generation, and the rejection of the counsel of the old. This democratic freedom to reject old advice and wisdom and choose the young’s foolishness was first done by Rehoboam. Read 1 Kings 12.
This journey towards full Democracy was started by Rehoboam, the son, but it was first sown in the life of his father Solomon – the seed of materialism – hedonism – epicurism – the life of ‘Eat, drink and be merry or be married’ – read: sex! – which, when they become the focus as it is the case today, is the cause of the people’s being caught unaware of the catastrophe befalling [e.g., the ongoing 7 Last Plagues] or about to fall upon mankind [esp. the 7th Last Plague]: “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage [i.e., divorcing], up to the day Noah entered the ark. They knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”[4]
In Democracy, it is the voice of the people that is said to prevail. Democracy means ‘voice or will of the people’.
But definitely, as I have said and explained above, the ‘voice of the people’ is seldom the ‘voice of God’! Very seldom!
Only when a people suffers and cries out for salvation will such clamor for the destruction of the evil oppressors can we see that God is with the poor oppressed ones. In a sense, the voice of the people has become the voice of God. Both the people and God want salvation, justice and freedom from oppression. In this case, the will of the people equals the will of God.
But not in many other occasions when the people love the sinful pleasures of the flesh which God hates. It is in these moments of pleasures and leisure that the people want to have nothing to do with God’s rule of moderation. They want excess. They want drunkenness. They want harlotry. They want extreme fun. They lust. They are full of greed. They have great pride.
What does God command? His will?
. "The land belongs equally to all without distinction. Of what the soil will yield in abundance, let the needy one take enough to satisfy his hunger, and let the strong willingly gather for the weak.
. "Let every one be subject to his brother and willing to serve him.
But no one shall ever give orders to another, for you shall always show love to each other so that one day you may become children of one Father within love.
. "Although the Lord always gives more than a person needs to sustain his life, you shall never be excessive in all your enjoyments, but after the will of God for the sake of your health moderate in everything you do and enjoy. For thus speaks the Lord: 'A proper measure and a proper goal be blessed, but excess be cursed, and damned be the aimless ways on which only harlotry and unchastely shall walk and find there the night of perdition and eternal death!' Therefore, gather the surplus of the blessing and erect everywhere storehouses, but not of stones, as in the city of Enoch, but of timber… leave an opening in each wall, four times the size of a man's head, and on the east side also a door, but without bars so that everyone can enter freely whenever needed…”[5]
But they do not like that command that limit their enjoyments and forbid them to covet and to become the commander.
But it was clear from the very beginning: GOD DID NOT AUTHORIZE MAN TO RULE OVER HIS FELLOW MEN! He was to rule over the lower form of creation, namely: the animals, the plants, etc. – Genesis 1:26. Any farmer would know and can tell that managing the environment such as in an agriculture-livestock integrated farming, is more fulfilling than ruling people and it already fills your schedule and never gives you boredom.
It is Satanic pride that deludes us that it is more honorable to rule over people. To be famous – to be great – to be exalted above others – to be obeyed – even to be worshipped – this is the germ of Lucifer that he has succeeded implanting deep into our soul and heart!
That kills true love. And wherever love is dead, there is neither peace nor true lasting joy. There may be pleasure, but not joy! Pleasure is a false joy. Coming from it, and after it, is more sorrow and lingering emptiness.
On the other hand, to be close to the birds, to the beautiful butterflies, to the flowers, to the delicious fruits of the trees, to be able to view the blue ocean from afar, to look up the magnificent mountains, to hear the music of the brooks, to feel the fresh morning breeze, to greet the dews from the dawn, to behold the colorful rainbows and read the script of God’s promise “I will no longer allow a flood to destroy mankind” - these and many other manifestations of God’s love, wisdom and might are far better than being a king over a multitude!!!
Because with a multitude, you deal with lust, greed and pride; whereas, with Creation, you commune with its Creator, Jehovah, your eternal Father, the Source of all joy!
So, which do you prefer? Men who give you honor but also misfortunes or Creation who rewards you with the greatest prize of all, namely: GOD AND HIS LOVE!
Our modern education implanted a germ of pride in our mind, namely: the dislike to farm. We hated or belittled the occupation of a farmer. We rejected agriculture.
And until our love for God’s creation – until we care for the environment once again – we will not find our God whom we lost in our search for the empty treasures in the crowded streets and splendid offices of the modern forests called cities. We lost God. Or rather, we became lost. We no longer know the true source of happiness and life.
WE are now thinking that to be happy, you have to be a king or queen or something like that!
WE are only deceiving our selves. Have we forgotten Jesus words, “He who is humble shall be lifted up and he who is proud shall be abased”? Have we forgotten His formula of peace and serenity: “Come to Me, all of you who are tired of your ambitious pursuits and are heavily laden, cast these unnecessary burdens upon Me and learn from Me – imitate Me – My gentleness and humility, then, you will find rest.”[6]
If we want to find peace and happiness and life that is lasting, then, we must take the path of humility, namely: away from ruling over our fellowmen and away from such worldly fame!
There is peace and quiet in the field. Farm and at the same time developing our God-given talents to share, not to gain fame, but to honor its Giver! The giver is the Father. And “a wise son brings joy to his father.” By his talent which he shares to his brethren, he brings honor to his father and glory to his name! There is no selfish pride whatsoever.

Democracy is the voice of the younger and the muting of the elder. This is the case in America. They place their wise elders to the Home for the Aged. These rich banks of wisdom are junked in those homes for the aged! No more link to the active world.
And what price? Moral degeneration! Drug addiction. Sexual immoralities. Pornography of the worst kind poisoning the nations via the internet.
The fall of America, the leader of democracy or Rehoboamic rebellion against the advice of the elders (1 Kings 12), is impending. And it seems inevitable. Only their repentance can put a stop to this mad zoom to destruction!
‘In God we trust’ is in reality, to them now, ‘In gold we trust’! To the founding fathers, it was ‘In God We Trust’.
And so Democracy is the worst of human governments, its worst abuse of freewill (freedom). It is being used to give full expression of man’s lust, greed and pride! And so the worsening of sins and vices!
It is the couple called Democracy and Capitalism that is able to give full-fill-ment of the perverted 666 = 600fold love for Self + 60fold love for neighbor + 6fold love for God!
In reality, democracy is not the voice of the poor but of the few rich. Sadly, it is not what Lincoln hope it would be, “a government by the people, of the people and for the people” nor of what he said as the ideal of equality, “as I would not be slave, so I will not be a master. That is my concept of democracy.”
For in reality, what he envisioned for democracy as a “government by the people” has become a “government buy the people”! This is most evident in the election time in the Philippines, the most democratic nation in Asia!
Lincoln’s ideal of a “government of the people” has become a “government off the people” after the election, where the people’s access to justice, rights, benefits, and participation are cut off!
The ideal of a “government for the people” has in reality become a “government poor the people”! The government has indeed poored the people!
GOD’S OPINION ON ISRAEL’S DEGENERATE SHIFT OF GOVERNMENT
It was purely Theocracy in Moses’ time. Moses was merely acting as judge; Moses was not the lawgiver. God was the lawgiver. Moses merely assisted the people understand the laws of God and make right decisions.
"Thus, the leader's task is not to give you laws and rules, but only to confirm to you My will within you,"[7] our God Jehovah says.
The task of legislation was already largely completed by God especially through His 10 commandments, the love commandments and the statutes.
Some twig-legislation is alone left for His servant to do – that is, the making of IRRs or Implementing Rules and Regulations or ordinances to IMPLEMENT GOD’S LAWS, in specific areas.
Other than these kind of sub-laws, human legislators are not free to make laws. For He warns:
“Tell the ministers and lords of the world frankly and truthfully
that their offices do not rank higher than the offices in My kingdom.
Soon I will destroy every office that is against Me. Woe to its servants!
For I am the Most High, My law is eternal as am I and shall remain so in eternity.
“The moths, which are endeavoring to nibble at My law
and make new laws from their dirt in order to eradicate My law,
the latter will crush with all its weight and destroy them
as though they bad never existed.
“Everyone who offends against My laws
can be forgiven when he changes his ways, recognizes his mistakes,
repents, turns to Me and remains in Me and I in him.
“But the One who tries to undermine My law shall be crushed by it,
and he shall cease to exist forever.
“All the worldly laws undermine My commands,
unless men who are instructed by My Spirit give them out of My love.
Woe upon the tyrants and despots who rule
because of the might and authority of their thrones.
For when their measure is full, they shall experience the power of the weak.
The ground is Mine and the field is Mine.
This tells you the True One, the Eternal God of Love and Wisdom,
and He makes it known through a fool to the worldly wise.
Amen. I, Jehovah. Amen.”[8]
What then is God’s opinion regarding Israel’s downslide in government?
Let us quote what the Lord Jesus told the Roman patrician Cyrenius, the brother of Emperor Augustus:
“I tell you: As long as the Jewish people were ruled by the Judges, who upheld only the laws of God, they complied – except for a few peculiarities – for a long time full with the divine order.
When later, however, they had the opportunity to see the splendour of heathen kings, how they resided in large, magnificent palaces and how their subjects bowed before them into the dust, the blind fools among Jewish people liked this very much, and since they considered themselves to be the mightiest nation on earth, they demanded of God a king, too.
God did not immediately want to grant the foolish wish of the people, but warned them and showed them the bad consequences they would have to put up with under a king. But God preached through the prophets to deaf ears. It did not help, the people wanted a king at any cost.
So God gave the people in Saul their first king and had him anointed by the old, faithful servant Samuel. When the people had their king, who promptly gave them hard to keep laws, they began to sink ever lower – right to the present state of utter depravity.
And what is the main cause of this? Behold, the inept laws that stem from men who did not know their own, let alone their fellowmen’s, nature and with the awkward laws taking only their self-interest into account completely ruined all inner soul-life.
Therefore, my dear friend Cyrenius, do leave your intended hundred laws at home, for you would not better anyone through them. Instead, let God’s laws rule and sanction them, and through the observance of these you will be making true humans out of human machines.
Once they have become humans you can present to them the needs of the state, and as true humans they will voluntarily do more than they could ever have done as the gagged slaves of hard and awkward laws.”[9]
WHAT IS GOD’S WILL WITH GOVERNMENT?
From the very beginning, His method was and is and will be one and the same: BEING OUR FATHER, KING AND MASTER, THE LEADER SHOULD BE HIS CHOICE, NOT OURS, SIMPLY BECAUSE HE IS SUPERIOR IN WISDOM AND HE KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR US.
God’s method, therefore, is appointment first by Him and then, by these men whom He had appointed. The process is called anointment, not election.
Ultimately, He wants us to return to the beginning when no in-between or middleman between Him and His children. In short, no hierarchy. But only two layers: Father and His children (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 23:8-9). No more other shepherds or hirelings but ONE FLOCK AND ONLY ONE SHEPHERD (John 10:16).
Everyone being taught personally and directly by the Father (John 6:45).
This ideal cannot be attained right away. It is a process. An evolution. It also depends on the growth of human cognition. There is a need of time for man to shift his worship or obedience from man to God. Or, as in John 6, to shift his loyalty from the hireling or from the thieves and robbers to the true Shepherd.
That day is near. Very near! So it behooves us to intensify our preparation.
HOW ARE WE TO COME UP FROM THIS BOTTOM OF OUR FALL?
AND DO WE SEVERE OUR TIES WITH THE HUMAN GOVERNMENT
AND CONNECT OURSELVES DIRECTLY TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD?
OR MORE EXACTLY, HOW DO WE TURN THIS HUMAN GOVERNMENT INTO A PART OF GOD’S GOVERNMENT?
My first advice is: Let us obey the first commandment: “I am Jehovah [meaning: the eternal Father]. You shall have no other gods before Me.”
Elsewhere, He lamented, “If I am a father, then, where is the honor due to me?”[10] Or where is the love due to Me? The Father deserves the highest of all love. “You shall love Jehovah [that is, the eternal Father] above all…”
So, the meaning of “You shall no other gods before me” is “You shall not love anyone more than you love Me.”
My second advice is: GIVE US THIS THING CALLED ELECTION WHICH IS A USELESS AND MISPLACED EXERCISE OF FREEWILL.
For election has never been a true reflection of the aspiration or will of the poor masses but of the few who are their oppressors. These deceivers and oppressors are only making use of election (or the writing of names inside election booth) as a consuelo de bobo, to the bobo people to give a seeming validity of the choice of this evil oligarchs!
In every election, it is the will of the oligarchs, not of the people. When the will of the people becomes so overwhelming that dagdag-bawas or any other cheatings cannot reverse the trend, as in the case of Erap who got the overwhelming votes of the masses, these oligarchs employed other means to kicked that man out of Malacañan!
They were able to kick Erap out. And they were also able to kick PM Thaksin of Thailand out! With FPJ last 2004 election, they succeeded in using ballot box switching as well as the manufacture of false votes summaries to replace the true ones, because FPJ’s lead was not so big over Ms. Arroyo.
After so much sufferings, the South Koreans cried out to God, the same God as ours. He answered them and gave them President Park, a compassionate leader that is leading South Korea to prosperity and happiness.
But that was not after so much bloodshed and sufferings, during the civil war between the communists of what is now North Korea and the rightist democrats of what is now South Korea.
Should we take the same bitter path?
God forbid!
Let us instead take this my third suggestion seriously: LOOK FOR THE WISEST MAN AMONG THE POOR
This wise man will not do injustice to the rich. But he will move them to give up their excess to lift up the downtrodden poor.
“However, it is God’s will that you will always listen and look to the wisest among you in order to willingly receive the decrees of God, both general and personal. But beware of ever according such as a wise one more respect, love and reverence than another not yet wise, but still most willing and dear brother.
“And the respect for the one wise out of God’s grace shall consist in nothing else but love of God, love of the neighbor and the most willing obedience to God’s directives through the humble heart of a wise brother.”[11]
“Abolish all superiority…so that all shall be equal as brothers and sisters, and appoint only the wisest among the common people as future leaders. However, do not ever let them occupy the royal palaces, for they shall live in the simplest and most lowly huts.
“When you see that they are capable and suitable as leaders and supervisors, lay your hands on their foreheads and shoulders, thereby bestowing on them the necessary power.”[12]
Fourth and fifth suggestions: According to the above instructions from God, let these wise leader remain living in humble houses and not in palaces, and using God’s authority, appoint assistants and successors. This will ensure that the succeeding generations will be under God’s government through these anointed (not people-elected) successors.
Question: Was this not the practice of our ancestors in their tribes before the Spaniard came with their monarchy and the Americans with their democracy?
Answer: Yes! And as you can see among our remaining native people in the mountains, the ‘automatic’ leadership of the wisest which is almost always same as the leadership of the eldest, except for a few cases where God’s gift of wisdom makes a younger one wiser, THERE IS PEACE, HARMONY AND UNITY AND SPIRITUAL PROGRESS!
On the other hand, what have we got with our so-claimed superior democracy? Material progress at the cost of moral degeneration and spiritual deterioration!
And this is what Jesus warned us about: What kind of gain is that if you have the whole world but lose your soul?
In reality, it’s no gain! For how can you suppose to continue owning the world if you die?
That’s rather foolish! The brightest of this world are really foolish!
Therefore, let’s go back to the ancient ORDER and there find salvation, life, peace and joy everlasting!
FOR THE MOMENT, BEFORE 2010, THIS YEAR 2007
Let the will of the people, either already good or still bad, be respected. Time God allotted for their unbridled freedom is not yet up. There is still a few years left.
So, since the people has also usurped from God this task of choosing the leader, and insist that they elect instead of God anointing, then, the people face the risk of making a wrong choice – as they used to have done in the past. Because they base their choice on who could give them the highest votemoney, they will make the wrong choice.
The people will have to blame no other but themselves.
We will see who is right in the next three years and beyond: God or man!
